Second Life Tennessee

Second Life Tennessee is a nonprofit organization headquartered in Chattanooga seeking to end human trafficking in Lower-East Tennessee through prevention, policy, and survivor services. 

Prevention: Second Life Tennessee provides individuals, groups, and organizations within the Lower East Tennessee region with the basic knowledge of the issue of human trafficking so that they could then act on what they now know in order to become part of the solution to this terrible crime.

Policy: Second Life Tennessee provides expertise and support on both the public and private sectors to ensure that legislation, municipal regulations, and organizational policies serve and support the work to end human trafficking in our communities.

Survivor Services: Second Life Tennessee provides survivors with specialized, trauma-informed aftercare services by coordinating with community resource providers to address the specific needs of each individual.

From our beginning, we have been a partnership-driven organization, realizing that collaboration is central to the success of our cause. As part of a statewide network of non-governmental, governmental, law enforcement, and private sector partners, Second Life Tennessee has helped to position Tennessee as the leading state in the country in the fight against human trafficking. Throughout our history we have endeavored to impact our communities and state through our core values of human dignity, integrity, excellence, partnerships, and innovation. Over a decade into our journey of working on behalf of those who are affected by trafficking, our dedication to the cause is stronger and clearer than ever. We do our work every day guided by hope, passion, and an unshakeable belief that we can and will see human trafficking defeated.
